Over the past two decades, Miguel Harth-Bedoya has brought the breadth and depth of Latin American music to the FWSO, Bass Hall, and beyond. We honor this contribution with a joyful celebration of the richness of Latin American music. Thee opening concert showcases symphonic works. Osvaldo Golijov’s Azul will spotlight cellist Jesús Castro-Balbi and percussionists Jamey Haddad and Cyro Baptista with hyper-accordion inventor and performer Michael Ward Bergeman. And Revueltas’ orchestral suite, La noche de los Mayas, evokes the spirit of the early Mayas.
