Fort Worth Convention Center Coming Down

The City of Fort Worth is hosting a free public farewell event called “It’s Goin’ Down” inside the historic 1968 Convention Center “flying saucer” dome from noon to 4:00 PM on September 20th.

This marks the final public gathering inside the arena before it closes permanently. The celebration features live music, a tribute band, a DJ playing hits from past decades, historical exhibits, and food concessions. Admission is free for all ages.
