The BooMont Hotel set to reopen Sept. 4 at Galleria Dallas

The BooMont Hotel

The BooMont Hotel, which reopened in 2025 after being closed for nearly 100 years, is completing further renovations and will reopen on weekends starting Sept. 4.

The attraction, located at Galleria Dallas, has been upgraded with two brand-new rooms, more square footage, bigger thrills and different ways to explore the hotel. New for 2026: a ghost pool that will have you diving into the deep end of the unexplained, a haunted mirror maze that will force you to find yourself before finding the exit, and a master key scavenger hunt with 13 stops.

The BooMont, which was originally opened in 1901 by Rupert B. BooMont and his wife, Emerald, was the first hotel in Texas to have full electricity, wired using BooMont’s own patented electrical designs. Wildly popular for more than 20 years, the hotel closed in 1925 after a mysterious lightning storm resulted in the disappearance of several guests – including BooMont – which started rumors of a haunting.

BAYMO, the creative team behind Santaland and SNOWDAY! at Galleria Dallas, reopened The BooMont Hotel in 2025. After a brief hiatus for further renovations, the hotel will receive guests once again. While overnight accommodation is not available, guests are invited to experience the hotel’s 13 public rooms at their own pace. Each opened door will provide guests an unforgettable immersive experience.

While the entire hotel is photo-worthy, several RFID-enabled photo ops will be connected to guests’ hotel keys, sending photos straight to their cellphones.

Guests will enter The BooMont Hotel through the refurbished lobby, still decorated in the golds and greens that delighted guests in 1901.

Elevators transport guests through the hotel, where older children and adults can expect the unexpected as they navigate through mysterious rooms, interactive spaces and imaginative photo opportunities.

The hotel is dark and contains moments that some might consider frightening. But don’t worry – no haunted figures will surprise visitors with jump scares, and there’s no gore or blood, just a spooky good time. We promise if you check in, you’ll check out!

The BooMont Hotel, BOO! for short, will be open on Level 3 of Galleria Dallas near Raising Cane’s from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and noon to 6 p.m. Sundays Sept. 4-27. Beginning Oct. 2, BOO! will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and noon to 6 p.m. Sundays through Nov. 1, with some extended hours the week of Halloween. Special adults-only nights featuring special spooky characters will be scheduled in October.

Tickets start at $24.95 for general admission, which includes entry to the exhibit and digital photos sent to your phone; $34.95 for the Master Key bundle, which includes admission, master key access to the interactive scavenger hunt, a souvenir scavenger hunt map, digital images and a 5×7 photo print; and $49.95 for VIP, which includes everything in the Master Key bundle plus anytime entry, skip-the-line privileges at check-in, an additional 5×7 photo print, a souvenir BooMont Hotel tassel keychain, a tote bag, BooMont magnet and more.
