Al Biernat’s is officially expanding to downtown Fort Worth, taking over a three-story, 12,000-square-foot historic building located at 913 Houston St.
The restaurant will sit directly across from the Fort Worth Convention Center, which is undergoing a massive $700 million expansion, and right near the iconic Flat Iron Building.
While General Manager Brad Fuller confirmed the lease signing, space planning and design are in the very early stages. The restaurant is tentatively projected to open in late 2027.
The 1959 building originally housed Farm & Home Savings. The expansion news broke on what would have been the 71st birthday of the legendary late founder, Al Biernat, who passed away in 2024.
This marks the brand’s third location, following its wildly popular Oak Lawn and North Dallas spots. It will bring its signature upscale dining experience west, featuring Premium Steaks: High-end cuts like their signature 30-ounce porterhouse and prime rib.
They will also serve extensive fresh seafood selections alongside a dedicated, standalone vegan menu.
