Galleria Dallas joins Momentous Institute to ‘Squeeze the Day’

When life gives you lemons, “squeeze the day.”  That’s the message presented by the Momentous Institute, a 106-year-old Dallas-based nonprofit, focusing on strengthening the mental health of children, families and communities.

This important message will be shared on Galleria Dallas’ Gallery Wall during May, which is Mental Health Awareness Month.

Momentous Institute, established by the Salesmanship Club of Dallas in 1920, is a leading mental health organization that turns complex science into practical, human-centered solutions, equipping individuals and professionals with the tools to make mental health an essential part of overall well-being for children and families.

Momentous Institute is the sole beneficiary of THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson, a PGA Tour golf tournament, which has raised more than $195 million for the organization over the past 59 years.

At Galleria Dallas, Momentous Institute will showcase a bright, colorful Gallery Wall on Level 1 near Sephora. Guests are invited to take selfies in front of the wall and post them to social media tagging @galleriadallas and @momentousinstitute.

During the month of May, Galleria Dallas will join Momentous Institute and Yogees Yoga 4 Kids to present Squeeze & Stretch for Littles, a weekly yoga class aimed at children on Level 3 near the Play Place. The class, appropriate for beginners, will happen each Friday in May at 10:30 a.m.

Squeeze the Day, our citywide Mental Health Awareness Month campaign, partners with organizations across DFW, including Galleria Dallas, to highlight simple, everyday ways to support mental well-being,” said Dr. Jessica Gomez, executive director of Momentous Institute. “Our hope is that it sparks conversations that extend far beyond May.”

The “Squeeze the Day” messaging will extend beyond the Gallery Wall. Look for mental health tips on displays throughout the shopping center during May, inviting guests to take a moment for their mental health.

“Mental health is such an important topic and we’re making it a priority during Mental Health Awareness Month with the help of Momentous Institute,” said Audrey Miranda, director of marketing and partnerships at Galleria Dallas. “We hope the “Squeeze the Day” messaging throughout our center this month will help shoppers who need an extra lift in their day.”
