Galleria Dallas is currently making big changes across the shopping center, the most noticeable taking place around Center Court, the area surrounding the Galleria Dallas Ice Skating Rink in the middle of the shopping center. But that won’t be true for long.
While Center Court is receiving new flooring, lighting and seating areas, and the teal glass is being exchanged for an off-white finish to brighten and modernize the space, another portion of the property is going to be getting a major refresh as well.
The North Plaza, located on the northwest side of the building between Grand Lux Café and The Westin Galleria Dallas, facing the Dallas North Tollway, is getting a brand-new, grand customer entrance created with intuitive, intentional design.
Architect Omniplan has completely reimagined the plaza in front of Grand Lux Cafe with updated landscaping, seating, fresh pavers and an enhanced arrival experience for that end of the shopping center. Bud Creative has designed landscaping that will make the space feel both welcoming and intimate. An upgraded valet stand will make getting into Galleria Dallas a breeze.
During this process, Grand Lux Cafe will also refresh its façade and add an entry door from the restaurant into the new corridor. Construction is expected to begin soon and be completed in Q1 2027.
“We’ve long wanted a grand entry to welcome shoppers in on the northwest side of the center, and are pleased it’s finally coming to fruition,” said Galleria Dallas General Manager Angie Freed. “The new North Plaza will be a welcoming space for shoppers to relax as they’re visiting Galleria Dallas, giving them another reason to linger.”
This project reinforces the continuous evolution of Galleria Dallas. In 2025, remodels of restrooms on Level 3 North and at the Galleria Dallas Ice Skating Center on Rink Level were completed, and an entry corridor leading into the center was added between The Westin Galleria Dallas and Bachendorf’s Jewelers, which offers public restrooms on Level 1 of the center for the first time. New party rooms, perfect for birthday parties, community events and business meetings, also were finished and opened on Rink Level.
